Organ Summer – Tuuli Rähni

Tuuli Rähni, organist of Ísafjörður Church, will perform at the 5th concert of the Organ Summer in Hallgrímskirkja on the 31st of July. The concert starts at 12:00 and lasts about half an hour.

Tickets are available at the door and on, ticket price is 2000 ISK, free for children under 16 years of age.
Tuuli Rähni will perform during the third lunch time concert of the Organ Summer. She is currently the organist at Ísafjörður church. Tuuli was born in Estonia and studied piano at Tallinn Music High School and later at the Estonian Academy of Music with Prof. Peep Lassmann, pupil of Emil Gilels. She graduated with honors in 1991.
Tuuli continued her studies in Germany at Karlsruhe Musical University where she finished Masters degree in Solo Piano and Chamber Music. She has performed in many countries including Japan, France, Great Britain, Germany, Russia and Estonia. Tuuli has also appeared in the Estonian State Television and played in recordings in Estonian and German radio. She has also played in CD recordings, for example for Naxos.
Tuuli moved with her family to Iceland in 2005 and has been working as an organist and music teacher since. She studied organ at the Icelandic Church Music Academy with Prof. Björn Steinar Sólbergsson and finished her studies there as Cantor in 2019. Currently she is furthering her organ studies in the soloist program.
Tuuli has played organ concerts in both Estonia and Iceland.
