Elke Eckerstorfer in concert Saturday August 4th at 12 noon

On Saturday the 4th of August at 12 noon, the award winning organist Elke Eckerstorfer, organist at St. Augustin in Vienna, Austria, plays works by Bach, Saint-Säens, Brahms and Petrali.
Admission is 2000 ISK.

Eckerstorfer has received much recognition and prizes for her playing at
concerts that have brought her all over Europe and to Japan. She has
made many recording both for radio and for CD’s. One of them renders
the complete organ works of Balduin Sulzer, a composer and catholic
priest in Upper Austria. In St. Augustin in Vienna she recorded two CD’s
with the Austrian trumpetist Gernot Kahofer, Trumpet Voluntary and
Christmas Trumpet.

Besides being one of the organists at St. Augustin in Vienna, Elke
Eckerstorfer teaches at the University of Music in Vienna.
